Iran Represented in Chicago Peace Day Celebration

Shabeh Jomeh Executive Director, Neda Nabavi, represented Iran in Chicago's Peace Day Celebration. Each year, September 21st marks Peace Day; a day for wide-scale community action, and a day for UN agencies and aid organisations to safely carry out life-saving work.

The Chicago Build the Peace Committee's mission is to mainstream a Culture of Peace in Chicago. This means they work to promote the values, attitudes, behaviors and institutions that build the peace in individuals, families, schools, neighborhoods and the city as a whole.

Neda Nabavi carried the flag of Iran in the flag ceremony. International consulate and local politicians attended the event in Daley Plaza
