Hani Orangi

Hani Orangi was born in Iran and raised in Silicon Valley. Currently, she lives and works in Singapore. She has been active in many Iranian community groups as a volunteer and/or supporter. Hani started the Bay Area Chapter in 2007 and she accepted the Executive Director role in January 2013. In this new role, she will develop and implement strategic plans to continue to propel and expand the organization to the next level with the help of the Leaders. Hani attended SDSU for both her B.A. and M.A. and has worked in various companies including: Apple, Cisco Systems, VMware, Pandora Internet Radio, S&P Global as a Talent Management Strategist; she currently works at Lazada Group in Singapore.

In 1996, Hani and three other friends started the Persian Club at De Anza College, which continues to thrive. She participates in numerous charitable and social organizations and has a strong sense of community unity. When she's not busy working and leading Shabeh Jomeh she can be found spending time with her family, traveling, skydiving, playing tennis, surfing, and cycling.

Amir Majlessi

Amir Majlessi

Amir Majlessi was born in Tehran/Iran. He is currently pursuing his Business Administration degree. During his early college years he has lead an organization called: Global Student Club (GSC), both as the President and Treasurer. Following the success of GSC he continues to contribute to the Iranian community by investing his time as a volunteer.

Amir's number one hobby is music! Music has been a big influence in his life and has opened many new paths. He was surrounded by family members with musical backgrounds and talent. Amir continues to expand his musical knowledge by pursuing different certifications such as Recording Arts and Commercial Sound Engineer.

He is proud to be part of the Shabeh jomeh family and is excited to take the chapter to the next level.

Parastoo Zargar

Parastoo Zargar was born in Tehran and raised in Karaj. She got her bachelor’s in biology and master’s in microbiology in Iran. After moving to the US in 2015, she is now pursuing her degree in dentistry.
Parastoo is very passionate about helping others and loves socializing and meeting new people. She has become a part of Shabe Jomeh community since 2016 and is enthusiastic to coordinate events in the Bay Area.
Among her hobbies are playing Santoor, dancing, and hiking. She also enjoys watching movies and listening to music in her free time.
